Subrosa Group Managing Director Niall Burns
Niall is one of the founding members of Subrosa Group and has over 24 years operational experience, formally as a Special Operations Operative and subsequently in the private sector. Niall’s expertise includes the strategic development and delivery of global, multi-million dollar security strategies and operational reviews.
Niall is a proactive member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, the Association of European Threat Assessment Professionals and ASIS. Niall is also a contributor for CNN, BBC and ITN, often brought in to offer expert opinion on security and counter terrorism issues.
Subrosa Group Operations Director
A former Special Operations Operative with over 28 years experience in the private security sector, the Subrosa Group Operations Director has undertaken thousands of security and investigative projects worldwide. He specialises in working closely with client to identify and design strategies to meet business’s security objectives as quickly as possible and guiding national and international clients through the legislation associated with gaining accurate, functional evidence. He has been a partner, director and consultant for several major security and investigations companies throughout the United Kingdom.
Subrosa Group Strategic Advisor Dr Anthony Cleland Welch OBS, FIoD
After leaving the British military as a Brigadier, our Strategic Advisor spent twenty years working at the strategic planning level for a number of international organisations and the British Government. This included the post of Chief of Staff to the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the UN, responsible for joint policy planning and coordination for the UN in the former Yugoslavia.
He headed the UK’s Department for International Development Office in Kosovo at the end of the conflict and later was the UN Regional Administrator for northern Kosovo. He was also responsible for planning the UK’s justice and security stabilization assistance in the Middle East and North Africa. He remains a visiting lecturer in security at Cranfield University and the Swedish Folke Bernadotte Academy, and is a key member of Leicester University’s Security, Conflict and International Development Panel of Experts.
He also acts as an adviser on international aid, security and foreign policy on Africa in the House of Lords.
Subrosa Group Special Projects Director
A highly qualified and experienced Security Consultant, before joining Subrosa Group our Projects Director completed 24 years in the British Special Forces where he was operationally deployed worldwide for various governments’ projects. He also has extensive experience of commercial security delivery in conflict and post conflict environments. He specializes in the design and concept of security operations, independent security audits, project management, training needs analysis and design and delivery of specialist training courses. Additionally, he has comprehensive experience in the Middle East.
Senior Corporate Investigator
Formerly a career detective employed by the Metropolitan Police, culminating with a posting to the Regional Crime Squad at New Scotland Yard, our Senior Corporate Investigator specialises in Corporate Research and Business Intelligence, investigating both national and international organised crime groups. He has been employed for over 20 years in the private sector with a wide range of experience in bringing key strategic skills to the project management of complex global enquiries for a diverse range of clients.
